E-motor cooling is evolving fast – our solution: a testbed that realistically replicates oil cooling under close to lifelike conditions.
A look at current technology trends makes it clear: The share of e-motors using oil or hybrid cooling is growing rapidly.
Why? Because oil enables more efficient heat dissipation – especially for highly compact, high-power-density motors.
AVL Software and Functions GmbH offers the right test environment to validate exactly that.
Our e-motor testbed supports all common cooling concepts – whether oil, water-glycol, or a combination of both.
Our Highlights:
✔ Oil cooling – suitable for:
- Direct oil cooling of rotor and stator
- Oil spray cooling and bearing cooling from 0.3 l/min
✔ Water-glycol cooling – suitable for e.g.:
- Water jackets and similar systems
✔ Combinations of oil and water-glycol cooling:
- Two channels each
- Four independently controllable cooling channels with up to 25 l/min per channel (extendable to 50 l/min)
✔ Temperature range: –40°C to +140°C
✔ Open and closed circuits available
Curious how your e-motor performs under different thermal conditions?
AVL Software and Functions provides the setup for valid, real-world testing results.
