As part of the funded project GAIA-X 4 AGEDA , we at AVL Software and Functions GmbH are exploring how the Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Over-The-Air updates (OTA) can transform vehicles into fully connected, cloud-based application platforms.
Our goal: to make the vehicle an active player in the GAIA-X ecosystem – capable of hosting, updating, and scaling applications just like any other cloud-connected device. This means bridging the gap between vehicle and cloud through cloud-native development, safety-compliant distributed computing, and privacy-first data handling in line with GAIA-X principles.
Take a look at our “Remote Controlled Speed Limiter” app: a service that can be securely deployed and updated remotely, showcasing the potential of modular, software-defined functions for enhanced safety and compliance.
Why GAIA-X?
Because it ensures transparent, sovereign, and interoperable data handling across the mobility ecosystem – enabling collaboration, innovation, and new value chains in connected mobility.
Together with our partners, AVL Software and Functions is building the foundation for the future of Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs).
