AVL Software and Functions Testing Team at Electric Motor Test Bed (EMTB) has successfully completed rigorous ripple testing on 800 V inverter up to 400 kW. This crucial step ensures robustness of this power control unit in Electric Vehicle Systems when subjected to High Voltage ripple.
At our AVL E-Motor TSTM , we utilized advanced AVL Ripple Generator™ to perform these tests with applied current ripple up to 630 A peak-to-peak, within a frequency range from 300 Hz up to 200 kHz, ensuring our test equipment meets the highest customer requirements.
Ripple testing evaluates the integrity of the power inverter in Electric Vehicles, focusing on the immunity to voltage and current ripples supplied to sensitive electronic components.
