Another step forward for AVL Software and Functions: During the latest test run of our autonomous shuttle bus on the premises of our partner Rohde & Schwarz at the Teisnach plant (Teisnach plant | Rohde & Schwarz) in the Bavarian Forest, we were able to show how innovative mobility solutions can be implemented in rural areas. Following the successful test run in Neubäu am See (https://lnkd.in/dZbhsxGq), our AVL AutBus transports employees safely and conveniently from the park-and-ride parking lot to the company premises in Teisnach – always accompanied by a safety driver who could intervene if necessary.

In view of the increasing shortage of drivers and rising costs, the need for future-proof, autonomous concepts is becoming ever more pressing. With a stress-free and reliable connection, the AutBus contributes to making mobility more efficient and relaxed – an important basis for future applications.

The project was supported by political representatives, including Regen District Administrator Dr. Ronny Raith and Mayor Daniel Graßl. Such partnerships play an important role in jointly developing the infrastructure for autonomous driving.

We are convinced that autonomous transport has the potential not only to strengthen local public transport, but also to redefine mobility in more remote regions.
